Pure lavender essential oil harvested and steam distilled from high-altitude Bulgarian lavender flowers (lavandula angustifolia). Steam-distilled means that no chemicals or harsh solvents are used to produce the oil, resulting in an exceptionally high quality, gentle product.
Our lavender oil has a verified monoterpene alcohol content of about 34%, which makes it an excellent "terp" for your henna. Plus, it has a verified camphor content of less than 0.15%, making it the best oil to use during pregnancy or for anyone with a compromised immune system.
It is has been carefully sourced and is intended for aromatherapy and therapeutic applications, unlike other "lavender-like" oils available. It also smells heavenly!

There are many varieties of lavender oil, and most are not suitable for topical applications. Only high-altitude pure lavender should be used in henna.
AVOID:
Lavender 40-42 - not intended for topical use. It’s great for perfumes, not henna.
Spike Lavender - This lower quality oil should be avoided while pregnant and may cause skin irritation in some individuals.
Both lavender 40/42 and spike have a higher camphor content, which is not ideal during pregnancy or for anyone with a compromised immune system. The true lavender we stock has a verified camphor content of less than 0.15%, some of the lowest you'll find available!
